Suspect Sought In Nine Mile Road Tom Thumb Robbery

June 1, 2012

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man that robbed a Nine Mile Road convenience store.

The white male entered the Tom Thumb at 1405 East Nine Mile Road about 6:22 last Sunday morning.  He went to the restroom, then waited in line behind another customer.  After the other customer left the store, the suspect produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The man then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information on the armed robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP (7867) or the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620.

I have wondered more than once if blowing up particular features might be possible and help in identification. Hands and faces, even hats.

A robber who walks like a duck?

Shouldn’t be too long before someone recognizes him and turns him in.

It still amazes me that people are stupid enough to rob a store like this that has such a small amout of money on hand. They are willing to give up a large part of their lives in prison over something like this. Just pure stupid and stupidity is when you know better and do it anyway.
Not only are they embarking upon something stupid but endangering these people who are actually trying to work for a living. Most of which are min wage or a little above. These people don’t care about other people they all seem to think is something is owed to them and if they don’t get it they will just take it. Work normally rewards one with monetary gain maybe they should try that concept for a change then they would be broke and trying to get something that does not belong to them!
Catch him and send him away for a long time before he seriously hurts someone.
Just my rant for the day.

He touched the door check fingerprints. He looked at the person at registers he should of seen his face. He’s not wearing a mask. If there is cameras behind the counter on the wall check them. He also had no gloves and he touched thę doorknob on the bathroom door!! There has to be more than just that one camera.
