Northview High School Class Of 2012 Graduates (With Photo Gallery)
June 3, 2012
Just over 100 members of the Northview High School Class of 2012 graduated Saturday.
The graduation ceremony was dedicated to the memory of late Northview teacher Tommy Weaver, who passed away earlier this year. Each graduate wore a button pinned over their hearts with Weaver’s picture.
Valedictorian Elizabeth Wright urged the graduates to look toward the future, as did Salutatorian Holly Dickson. As part of her address, Dickson led the graduates and hundreds in attendance in a short prayer.

What a great group of young people to honor Mr.and Mrs. Weaver the way they did, I don’t know them but I was touched to see Mr. Weavers picture on each one of their gowns, and to see the notes that they gave to Mrs. Weaver. Great Job Northview Chiefs Class of 2012!!!! May God Bless You All.

What a nice ceremony last night. Everyone looked great. The class came in and was seated in their own section. The color guard came in and presented the colors. Kiani Okahashi did a great job leading the pledge. There were special music by the senior ensemble and then welcoming introductions. Mallory Turner, the class President welcomed the 2012 class. Holly Dickson the Salutatorian, that was a great speech. Next Elizabeth Wright the Valedictorian gave her speech and then Malcolm Thomas gave some great closing remarks and advise to the class. Gayle Weaver the principal awarded each student their diplomas (well the covers) as they walked across the stage. Each graduate gave Ms Weaver a note, which choked her up. After that the senior ensemble led the singing of the Northview HS Alma Mater. Mr Thomas the superintendent gave final remarks and hold the students they were now certified HS graduates. I know there events are very hard to coordinate but from the outside all when very well. Great job to all the coordinators

lol ok so i know what my class did but what in the world did you guys hand ms.weaver this year? i’ve seen quarters- puzzle pieces but never pieces of paper.
