One Injured In Highway 29 Crash Near Molino

One person was injured in a two vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 29 near Barth Road north of Molino.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 20-year old Connor McDonald of Pensacola was northbound in a 1996 Honda when he crossed the median and struck a Ford F350 pulling a cattle trailer, causing the truck and trailer to jackknife.

McDonald was transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola  in serious condition. Charges against McDonald are pending, according to FHP.

The driver of the pickup, 66-year old Denis Snodgrass, and passenger, 66-year old Jo Ann Snodgrass, both of Clopton, Ala., received only minor injuries.

Escambia County EMS, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue also responded to the crash.

    I guess he wasn’t as quick as he thought he was. Mr. McDonald I hope you pull through your injuries and have a second chance at life.
    Mr and Mrs Snodgrass. I am so glad you were uninjured. It’s usually the innocent/victims that come out the worst for ware. But glad too see you are both alright. It’s a blessing no-one died
    Things are just tha,t things. But a life can not be replaced.

    @Mike, why should the Snodgrass’ insurance be responsible for getting them a new vehicle or repairing the old this one. According to the article MacDonald was the cause of the accident and his insurance should be the responsible party, considering if he had insurance and if he didn’t then he is in more trouble.

    Wow, so much for older people being hazardous. That trailer looks to be mighty sturdy, but it looks like that crewcab fifthwheel dualie has seen it’s end. I hope the couple’s insurance gets them a new one, sure was a nice rig. Maybe it can be fixed, who knows?
