NorthEscambia.com Publisher Named One Of Pensacola Area’s Most Influential People

The Pensacola Independent News has released their 2012 IN Power List — their list of the most influential leaders in the greater Pensacola area.
Only one person that works primarily in the North Escambia area was named to the list — NorthEscambia.com publisher William Reynolds.
“Influence has become more than wealth or position. In this transformative era, influence is tied to leadership and a willingness to take risks and to push for the greater good of the entire community,” wrote Rick Outzen, Independent News publisher.
Topping the annual list this year was Dr. Judy Bense, president of the University of West Florida.

I think you are all missing an important point here. This is about *influence* and power. I think it says a lot of that William and, essentially, northescambia.com, made this who’s who in greater Pensacola list. So nobody else from north of nine mile road made the list. what does that mean? It means that northescambia is kickin butt and taking names and the rest of pensacola is forced to realize we exist in the north end.

Congrats! Well deserved! William could teach several newspapers how to report the news. We want the facts not cover-ups and sweetness. NEC tells us facts about news worthy items – not who had coffee with whom or when the local bridge club meets or whose son and family are visiting.
I saw evidence of a fire a few blocks from me in Atmore and wondered if it were a house etc, Came in, logged onto NEC and there it was – the news as it was happening. No body else got it out that quick. And this was Atmore news.
