Molino Woman Charged With Pawning Grandma’s Ring

May 16, 2012

A Molino woman has been charged with allegedly selling a stolen family heirloom ring at a Pensacola pawnshop.

Ashley Jogan was charged with dealing in stolen property, a second degree felony. She remained in the Escambia County Jail Wednesday morning with bond set at $10,000.

According to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, she pawned a stolen lady’s gold ring with eight red stones surrounding one dark center stone at the Cash America Pawn on Fairfield Drive.

The ring allegedly belonged to Jogan’s grandmother.

Sometimes things come up “missing”, and maybe the money went to drugs, sometimes it even makes its way to the local bar, bingo parlor or Windcreek Casino. If you had a theft in your home and you didn’t call the law, perhaps it was more of an inside job than than meets the eye. Just saying…

    Tina,

I know it’s no consolation, but a lot of people have gone through this recently. It sucks that somebody would take something that is priceless to you so that they can fence it for $50 worth of drugs.

I have “lost” 4 rings to the fact of leaving them in my bathroom & having a son hooked on drugs. I do not leave anything of value (including my medications) out in view..or let anyone know where things are kept….Glad this Grandma got her ring back!!!

Same thing has happened to me but didn’t bother calling the cops…
Gold Rings (MOM) from my son , Gold earrings , and 2 gold “2000″ pendants (for year 2000) with several other items…stolen right from my bedroom and sad thing is must be someone who we trusted to be in our home, never ever know.
We know who most likely took the things, just hoping one day they may have the money to get them out of pawn.
A couple of the items are from loved one no longer here, the earrings were from my mother -in-law who wanted me to give to our granddaughter at 16 because she knew she wouldn’t be here, and the MOM rings, and neckalace were like a million dollars to me. BUT, the one thing it taight me is to trust NO ONE and I don’t……..
