May 12, 2012
An Escambia County man is headed to prison for a 2011 attempted armed robbery.
State Attorney Bill Eddins said Thursday that Christopher Light was sentenced by Judge Scott Duncan to 15 years in state prison for attempted robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm and battery. Light was found guilty as charged by an Escambia County Jury on March 8, 2012.
On August 15, 2011, Light was hiding outside the Park Place Apartments off Scenic Highway when he attacked the victim and held her at gunpoint demanding money and other items.

I agree Chris shouldn’t have been involved with any of this. He has far too many talents to have such a lame past time. however. The kid didn’t rob anyone. The kid that did ratted in court and in the following weeks stole his brothers paycheck to buy yet again MORE PILLS! Whats going on in NW Florida with the pills? We just lost someone who had great potential to do some good if he wasn’t hanging with kooks. I hope his son has enough people around him to support him and keep this from starting yet another revolving door from addiction to prison. I have a lot of love and respect for Chris and hope he uses his time wisely. Unfortunately he’s gonna have to grow up VERY fast in there. Its not easy. Stand strong brother! We know the truth and we’re here for you!!!
REGARDING:
“with no physical evidence and there was an alibi with witnesses. His so called victims are local drug dealers and are still dealing.”
Which means the jury found the drug dealers more credible witnesses than him and more credible than the alibi witnesses. This is another good reason to try to avoid prior problems with the law and look and act reliable, honest and innocent.

donna so sorry for what you are going thru.pray to God fpr strength to get thru this and he will help you if you let him.I understand how you feel and ive been there.give the names of drug dealers to thelaw if you know their names and were they live or phone # i did
that the onlyway to help your spouse
I sat through this entire trial and yes, this young man was found guilty of the crimes he was charged with, with no physical evidence and there was an alibi with witnesses. His so called victims are local drug dealers and are still dealing. They admitted in court that they were there with Roxies and were they to sell them. This doesn’t change the fact that they shouldn’t have been robbed (if in fact they were), but…I believe that this should have some bearing on the sentence that was imposed. These were not “innocent” people. And for the record, this is my son, the father of my 4 year old grandson who will now be without his father until his is 19 years old, while this “victim” continue to sell drugs to maybe your child or your grandchildren.
That’s quite an attitude look. Aggravated crime and battery really sickens me and I’m glad he is gone for a while at least. I believe these types need to get off drugs and
be counselled after all they will get out and I don’t want them to just get the
higher education of crime we all know they get in prison.
hope his dance card is filled in prison…good riddance
