Tate Beats Navarre

The Tate Aggies swept Navarre Tuesday night with a 11-0 varsity win, a 9-3 junior varsity win and a 7-6 freshmen win on the road.

The varsity Aggies improved to 18-2 overall, 11-1 in the district — clinching the first seed in the district tournament.

Riley Hodge pitched a complete game shutout for Tate, giving up only two hits while striking out four.

JT Granat was 2-3 for Tate with a double and three RBIs, while David Moorhead was 3-3 with three RBIs. Austin Quina was 3-3 with two RBIs. Also for the Aggies, Mac Seibert was 1-4 with a double, and Cody Palmer was 2-3 with one RBI.

The Aggies will host Pensacola High School in district matchup Thursday at 7 p.m.

    Agreed. But we don’t have a sport writer — Coach Blackmon is great about sending us scores and game info the night of the game so we can post it the morning after.

    If someone would submit Tate softball scores and stats, we’d be happy to run them. (And that goes for any North Escambia team/sport)

    It is amazing how bad the Tate program had gotten, If it would have been a business it would be folded or about to . Leadership is the reason they are winning last coach was a joke and now they have hired a joke for a football coach whoever is in charge up there needs there head checked for being a terrible Principle or A/D whoever makes the call there. Good job Blackman.

    Awesome job Aggies! Coach Blackmon really did turn this program around with the same amount of talent they have had for the past several years! Aggie alumni are so proud of the entire coaching staff and the players! Great job boys!
