Sabra L. Williams

Sabra L. Williams, age 75 of Dixonville, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Jay.

Sabra was born December 10, 1938, in Coffee County, AL, to Gordan and Leola McClendon. She was a member of Berrydale Baptist Church, member of Jay Chapter# 208 Order of Eastern Star, where she currently holds the office of secretary, a graduate of Jay High School Class of 1954 and retired From American CYANAMID.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard Williams; son Rick Williams; sister, Amanda (Kevin) Thorne; grand-daughter, Ashley (Joshua) Stringer and great grand-daughter, Sophia Stringer; nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at Jay Funeral Home with Brother David Ellis officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m.

Sabra was known for her generosity and helping others, believing we all should live by the Golden Rule. “Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you”. Flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Sabra was a very compassionate person and always willing to help others. She did a great job as Secretary at Jay OES Chapter and was a wonderful caretaker of her husband Richard. She will be missed by a lot of people and loved by all.
