Play Ball! Opening Day For Molino Ballpark (With Photo Gallery)

April 1, 2012

Saturday was Opening Day for Molino Recreation Association and the Molino Ballpark.

A steady rain fell for most of the Opening Day activities, but the skies began to clear as the first teams took to the field.\

    >>Just wandering. On the top picture, how did the girl make the ball levitate like that. That’s a neat trick. And a good way to fool the batters.

The ball is moving — it’s fast pitch softball, so probably about 50 mph. The ball has just left her hand on the way to the batter. The action was stopped by the camera.

    >>>Wow it would have been nice to have seen some photos of the other teams that played that day also.

Parents are welcome to submit photos of games at local ballparks anytime.

I was only able to commit to about 2.5 hours in Molino Saturday morning for the 175 photos we ran. There are a half dozen ballparks in our immediate coverage area. I will not be able to take photos of every team at every ballpark. Just not humanly possible.
