Marvin Etheridge Cohron

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Marvin Etheridge Cohron passed away on Saturday, April 7 surrounded by his family.
Born in Excel, AL, on August 4, 1918, Marvin moved to Pensacola after WWII, having served in the Navy as a gunners mate throughout the Pacific Theatre. He worked at Navy Point Stores before starting his own refrigeration and air conditioning business which lasted over 50 years. A farmer at heart, he loved his garden and farm animals. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing and fishing. His strong work ethic was an inspiration to all.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of over 77 years, Mary Lou Manning Cohron, five daughters, Faye Pipa (Jack), Delores “Dee” Seymour, Glinda Schafer (Tom), Jackie VanMatre (Tommy), Debbie Poynter (Bob), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Betty Ward and Lola Mae Loth and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy. Service begins at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice of Milton, 6479 Caroline St., Suite B, Milton, FL 32570 or Cottage Hill United Methodist Church, 229 Williams Ditch Road, Cantonment, FL 32533.

There are no adiequate words to express out love for your, husband, father, grandfather & to us a very beloved man & friend. We are all confident that he is fishing & raising a grape orchard with his best fishing buddy, Gene Williams. Marvin was a Godly man & such a beloved friend to us, all. Our thoughts are with you, at this part of the journey we all call life.
