Man Charged With Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon
April 17, 2012
A Century man is behind bars, charged in a Sunday domestic violence incident.
Thomas Whendell Powell, age 25 of North Century Boulevard, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery, both domestic violence related.
Powell allegedly got into an argument with his wife at a North Century Boulevard apartment. Powell told deputies that he had been drinking heavily and admitted to punching a hole in a wall, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
The victim told deputies that Powell punched a hole in wall, poured his beer over her, grabbed her, and pushed her against the apartment wall several times. She reported that Powell grabbed a kitchen knife and raised it over his head as if he were going to stab her.
Powell remained in the Escambia County Jail Tuesday morning with bond set at $65,000.

some people shouldn’t drink
Since you don’t know which people it will be, it would be safer if no people drank.
But they will, anyway. Such is life.
