Laura Nygren Holton

Laura Nygren Holton, 73, died peacefully at her home in Cantonment on March 27, 2012, after a one year battle with cancer.
Laura was born and raised in Birmingham and she graduated from Phillips High School in 1957. A longtime Pensacola area resident, she retired as a legal secretary from Emmanuel, Sheppard, and Condon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred V. and Lucille C. Nygren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Holton of Cantonment; a brother, A. V. (Lucy) Nygren, Jr. of Gardendale, AL; two sisters, Elane (Fred) Connell of Gulf Shores and Susan (Phillip) Collier of McAdory, AL. Also surviving are three stepchildren, numerous cousins, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted April 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. at St. Monica’s Episcopal Church, Cantonment, FL.
Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Monica’s in her honor.
