Former Northview Student Killed In Traffic Crash

A former Northview High School student was killed in a single vehicle wreck early Saturday morning near Gulf Breeze.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 18-year old Robert Dakota Brannon of Navarre was pronounced dead at the scene of the the crash at Highway 98 and Kelton Boulevard at 1 a.m.
Brannon was traveling westbound on Highway 98 in a 2002 Honda Civic approaching the intersection when he left the roadway for an unknown reason. His vehicle first collided with a cement pole located in the northeast corner of the intersection at the entrance to the Grand Pointe subdivision. His vehicle then rotated and “vaulted” into a cement traffic light pole, according to a FHP report.
Brannon, originally from Molino, transferred from Northview last year.

dakota, i never told you this, but in 5th grade, i had a huge crush on you. you were a very cute, tan, dark haired boy. i cant believe youre the 3rd friend to leave within a year and a half. youll be missed by many, and the little shy girl who secretly liked you.
dakota was like a brother to me he was there for me when i needed him and i was there when he needed me. ive been praying for rubin and his family and the lord told me that its just another step in life. love you dakota.

Let’s all say a silent prayer this morning for all the young one’s who have been
taken to soon and given their angel wings, and may we all remember to be
thankful for all the family we have this Easter Morning.
Lord watch over this family and comfort them. I don’t know this young man or his family, but I do know that this is the most horrible thing that can happen to a parent. It just breaks my heart.. I am praying.
RIP Koda! I wasn’t a personal friend but knew of him thru friends. But my prayers go out to all friends and family of this young adult! I know he will be greatly missed!! We shall see you again someday good buddy! No worries now your under the care of my Good God!
I didn’t personally know koda but i knew him thru friends and he seemed like a pretty cool person to become friends with and get to know. My prayers and thoughts go out to all of his friends and family! God i pray that you would be with them all and comfort them as they deal with their loss! Prayers going out to the family and friends who knew him. It’s hard to see things like this happen and I feel like there’s been so much going on with the students of Northview. Heavens gained some Chief angels and God’s going to watch over all who knew him.
