Flomaton Downs Northview; Canes Headed Into Playoffs

The Flomaton Hurricanes wrapped up their regular season with a 2-0 win over the Northview Chiefs Monday night in Bratt.
The Hurricanes ended the season with a 23-4 record as they prepare for the state playoff series beginning Friday.
The winning pitcher for Flomaton was James Dean (5-0), pitching four while striking out six, walking two and allowing no hits. Jacob Newton pitched two for FHS, strikingo out three, walking one and allowing no hits, while Hunter Bonds allowed one in one inning on the mound.
Hunger Rigby took the loss for the Chiefs.

The Northview Chiefs have one regular season game remaining Thursday at 6 p.m. at Pensacola High School. And the Flomaton Hurricanes will host the first round of the playoffs against Zion Chapel at 4:30 and 6:30 on Friday.

I must say it was definitely a great game indeed! Northview Jv was in the house and on their turf. Both teams played well and I would like to say Coach Weaver and Coach Marshman, and Coach Wise, and are the best! thankxx 4 coaching and being and inspiration in “Cam’s” life. He looks up to you guys and talk about you all the time! And Coach Mandell(Nephew) and the the new coach. R.I.P. Mr. Weaver. Thankxx for the t-shirts Mrs. Weaver in your husbands memory to the boyz , may God bless you all at Northview and I want to say last, but not least that im very proud of my son Cameron Newsome #35, He’s definitely mama’s All-Star 4 Life… He held down playing jv baseball and ran Track at the same time, where he also received 2 medals from Jay QB Club. I love you “Cam”, and i’m honored to have you as my son. God bless you all at Northview High School.
