Man Dies In Highway 113 Crash

A 25-year old Alabama man died in single vehicle wreck north of Flomaton Friday night.
Authorities said Steven McLaurin Hagen lost control of his 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada about 8:30 p.m. on Highway 113 near Hall Creek Road, about seven miles north of Flomaton. The vehicle rolled over, ejecting the Hagen. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Escambia County EMS. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers. The Flomaton, Pineview, Barnett Crossroads and Friendship volunteer fire departments, and Escambia County (Fla.) EMS also responded to the crash.

I just learned of Steven’s death. It saddened my heart when I found out..Steven would always say, “Now I got it”, when he finally understood a concept.. He was one of my many precious students..

I knew Steven for a long time, we went to school together and played baseball. He was always a happy person and friendly. Thoughts and prayers go out to Jeffery and the rest of the family. Steven, you will be missed.

Funeral Arrangements have been made for Steven Hagen. Visitation is tomorrow 5-6pm for family and 6-9pm for everyone else. The funeral is Tuesday at 2pm. Both services will be held at Flomaton Funeral Home.
