    Life is all about choices.
    He chose unwisely.

    Tiffany,

I know you are hurt because your cousin is dead. However, he is dead of his own choosing because of the lifestyle he was living. If you engage in high risk behavior (drug use and sales), then you set yourself up for a situation like this. Don’t be angry with others for stating what is patently obvious to all of us. And, no, all of my relatives don’t have perfect records, BUT the one I am thinking of was arrested ONCE and changed her ways. Your cousin had this opportunity and failed to use it (more than once). Sorry for your loss, but I agree with Erica – when you play with fire you may end up burned.

Like I said previously, I pray that you, and the members of your families have a perfect record, so that it won’t be deemed appropriate in citizens minds to gun a human being down.

    Tiffany,
I’m sorry for your loss, but crime is everybody’s business. Let’s get tough on it.

    Tiffany,
I’m sorry for your loss, however Erica’s comment is relevant. Mr Ortiz was a thug who enjoyed the rewards of a living a life of crime. Unfortunately for him (and his family), he also suffered the consequences that accompany dealing in dope. He was a dangerous felon, and the streets are safer in his absence.

    To Erica,
I surely wish all of your relatives have perfect records and NEVER have any shortcomings. This young man happens to be my cousin, and while I can’t defend what I don’t know about, I know it’s idiotic of you to make an unnecessary comment, ESPECIALLY when it isn’t asked of you. It’s also very disrespectful to those who actually loved and cared for him, so for future references, just mind your business and stay out of things that don’t involve you. Thanks! :-)

LEO..Why would we want to keep the criminals from killing each other? As long as they stay amongst themselves…so be it. May sound crass, but better than feeding and housing them for life.

    Citizen,
Are you willing to double our current county taxes so that Sheriff Morgan can put a deputy on every corner, so that we can keep the criminals from killing each other? Think about that.

So much for Sheriff Morgan’s crime rate being down. It appears as Morgan once stated to the public while running against McNesby, “we are having a murder a day”.

So much of all the bad news in here goes right back to drugs, but looking
on mug shots everyday see who did what and in what neighborhood,
drug related charges to many times have a very low bail($500). They are also
attached to other charges of burglary, vandalism, and so on, with bail
being $1000.00 so of course they WALK.

Our Judges don’t see the need to keep them or give them high bail. They
just send these people right back out to do more drugs and do more crimes
to support their habit until they kill some one.

Make it legal or get serious about it from the first time you pick them up and
know they USE. If you just say no no johnny bad boy…. who gives a flip
nickel. This town has had a look the otherway attitude on some and a
no big deal on others since I came here years ago.

Now it’s a mess… how many have to die? Every man and woman in
law enforcement and crime and punishment needs to come down
hard on every single law breaker until they get the message through.
We have had enough and we’re not going to take it anymore! We say
we fight wars before they hit our shores, well you better fight crime now
    before it hits YOUR HOUSE.

Third murder this month. What does this one make for the year, seven? People have gone bonkers. Be careful and know who and where you hangout.
