Three Arrested After Narcotics Unit Executes Search Warrant

February 10, 2012

Three Century residents — a mother and her two sons — were arrested Thursday night after the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit served a drug-related search warrant in Century.

The search warrant was executed about 7:30 p.m. at a mobile home in the 100 block of West Highway 4 near the Century Care Center nursing home.  Investigators reported finding powdered cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana inside the mobile home.

Karen Louise Quinley, 43, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and destruction of evidence.  She was booked into the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $26,000.  Cortez Rasheen Davison, 18, was charged with cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,500. Nakeetric Devonte Davison, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $15,500. All three remained behind bars early Friday morning.

Thursday night was not the first time the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit has targeted alleged drug activity at the trailer. No one was home as officers executed a search warrant at the same mobile home in June 2010, finding a stem of marijuana in a bedroom, crack cocaine on the kitchen table, a razor blade with cocaine residue, a marijuana cigarette and digital scales during their search, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

Quinley was arrested on multiple charges following the 2010 search, but charges against her were later dropped due to insufficient evidence since she was not at home at the time of the raid.

To the C.O……I give you an extremely HIGH FIVE & KUDOS! everyone is so quick to judge, but if it was there youngin’s they wouldn’t be so quick to judge! We need to recognize our LEO’s and other departments for the job they continue to do on a daily basis, while their families sacrifice the danger they are put in on a daily basis. My husband is a CO and we worry about him going to work every day because of what does happen behind them gates, considering they can only use pepper spray to defend themselves, unless of course they use force against the inmate. And when that usually happens it is because the inmate chooses not to comply. So my point being give a little more credit to all the departments that serve you and me on a daily basis. KUDOS to the Narcotics Unit for doing their JOB WELL DONE!

With drug dealers as your neighbors, people are afraid that gunfire will come through a wall,at anytime that a drug deal goes bad.

These Officers put their lives on the line everyday to protect Escambia County…I am a family member of an Escambia County Deputy who was killed in the line of duty…these Officers are doing their jobs…if the scum that they arrest get back out then the SYSTEM failed…not the Officers. Good job Escambia County Officers.

These “Drug Dealers” have been i buisness for months, Street Deputies have been watching and busting buyers coming out of this residence for weeks. This is good work between patrol and the Narcotics team. Now lets see if the States Attorney’s office can admisister the final punch THIS TIME.. Keep the Drug Dealers out of Escambia County.

Keep in mind that law enforcement is not a sport. It is not a one-on-one game. It is a SWAT team against a gangster. It is keeping the peace at a reasonable cost. 10:1 ratio.

KUDOS…..William! There are many of our officers that work undercover and their identity is important to keep concealed.

As far as the two other ADULTS {18 & 19 } there are old enough to make their own decisions in life. Apparently they either wanted to walk in their mothers foot steps or perhaps they are the ones that introduced drugs to their mother……gotta keep an open mind until all the evidence in collected and they are processed through the court system, which isn’t the greatest either.

Either way there are {3} more off the streets for now! KUDOS to the Narcotics Unit for going back and catching them at home this time!

@Gern-you need to educate yourself about LEO before posting comments that make yourself look dumb in front of everyone. Cowards? Seriously?

the 18,19 year olds absolutely have not had the benefit of a good (or, even a MEDIOCRE) parental role model- at least from the mother…i strongly believe that they are salvagable at their young age….the “mom”…well, she should be penalized with the highest degree of crimes….. and then, get the maximim penalty for her crimes towards society and HER CHILDREN!…where is the father of these young men?

That’s some more of the good work done by S.A.Bill Eddins and the State Attorneys office. LEO do their job and arrest are made then the SAO drops the ball.

WOW! In Century?? What a shocker!
These poor boys really had a great role model in their mother! And now they’ll have to pay the price for it. Sad!
Well mother, are you proud of yourself?? I hope you get a long time in a 6×6 cell to think about the 2 innocent lives (at one time) that you have helped ruined. You must be SO proud! Shame on you.

Now the LEOs in this picture are there to arrest these people for drugs…and on the next story a man is released back into society with 18 months community control and 8.5 years probation (slap on the wrist) for the EXACT SAME THING!!!! I dont get it…

great job ECSO, keep it up. put em away, NOT back on the street.

Gern, Are you slow? Did you even make it to third grade?

  15. Darius on February 10th, 2012 8:39 am

I think that they are wearing face protection. Knowing that a drug bust would be photographed, they would rather be seen with their best face.
I go to this website almost everyday and it seems to me that the sherrif’sdepartment can make theit drug bust quota in Century any day of the week.

Send KEKE AND TEZ AND THE DUKES to prison where they belong!!

  19. William on February 10th, 2012 7:43 am

    >>Why is the law wearing face masks?

Many in that unit work undercover (think doing drug buys) and must protect their identity.

  20. Gern on February 10th, 2012 7:34 am

Why is the law wearing face masks? Are they such cowards, that they are afraid for us to see them?

  21. ad on February 10th, 2012 7:24 am

FREE KEKE AND TEZ AND THE DUKES……

  22. JUSTSAYIN on February 10th, 2012 7:15 am

I believe the reason the charges did not standin 2010, as stated in the article, was that she was not home when they did that raid…..yes it was in her house, but as we all know, she probably said, “i didn’t put that there, someone must have come in my house while I was gone and put it there”, now they have them all inside the residence, thus charges will stand!! did they really think that the sheriffs office would not return???? wow…just sayin..

  23. matt on February 10th, 2012 5:58 am

Let me get this straight… they found “a stem of marijuana in a bedroom, crack cocaine on the kitchen table, a razor blade with cocaine residue, a marijuana cigarette and digital scales” in 2010 and that was not enough evidence to hold the charges?!? Police obviously had enough suspicion and evidence to get a search warrent approved by a judge… so what is it?… has the burden of proof become so unreachable that they now need a picture of the suspect doing the crime or a written and signed confession of the deed? … oh well, I guess it finally caught up with them in the end.
