Escambia, Santa Rosa Go For Gingrich

In Tuesday’s Republican Primary, Newt Gingrich beat rival Mitt Romney in both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
Romney’s statewide victory was double digits over Gingrich — 46.37 percent to 31.95 percent. That gives Romney all 50 of Florida’s delegates because it is a winner-takes-all state.
In Escambia County, Gingrich received 38.85 percent of the vote to Romney’s 34.73 percent. Rick Santorum finished a distant third in Escambia County with 15.58 percent of the vote, while Ron Paul had 9.37 percent.
In Santa Rosa County, Gingrich received 40.83 percent of the vote to Romeny’s 33.03 percent. Santorum was third in Santa Rosa County with 15.95 percent of the vote, while Ron Paul had 9.20 percent.

Gingrich or Romney is NOT what we need at this point in the situation OBAMA has put AMERICA in…..just my thought! Then again all politicians will tell you what you want to hear, then do the opposite of what they said they would do. Look at what OBAMA has done……He sure has brought “CHANGE”, but not the change this country needed! I can’t help but to think their are many voters out there wish they NEVER voted OBAMA in now.

Typical west coast of Florida. Bunch of losers.
It’s pretty clear what happened here if you look at the map of Florida. Most of the panhandle “old South” counties voted for Gingrich, a fellow Southerner. Most of south Florida, which has lots of northern transplants, voted for Romney. Just goes to show that transplants outnumber natives in Florida.
I do think Romney was the right choice for the general election though. Gingrich would be able to win in the South, but he would never win in any of the northern states, and that’s what it will take to beat Obama.
It appears that even the registered republicans are confused by which of these canidates are best suited to lead this country.
Tends to make this Independent voter lean a little further left.

Why vote for the guy that lost to the guy that lost to Obammy? Either get hot or get cold, but don’t get get moderate. We don’t have chance with that in November.

Thirty-four years ago, Newt Gingrich summed it up. In a speech to College Republicans—shortly before he would win his first election to Congress—the future speaker had a piece of fundamental advice for the young and impressionable GOPers: “I think one of the great problems we have in the Republican party is that we don’t encourage you to be nasty. We encourage you to be neat, obedient, and loyal, and faithful and all those Boy Scout words.”
seriously, most in the county went with Gingrich? I guess all that family values and ethics talk is only to be used against those we want to demonize and scapegoat in our society?
