Search Continues For Escambia Bank Robbery Suspect

January 22, 2012

Authorities are searching for a man that robbed an Escambia County bank Saturday morning.

An older white male wearing a cap and a long sleeve light colored shirt held up the Bank of America on Davis Highway at Creighton Road just before 11 a.m. Authorities said the man gave the teller a note demanding money and never displayed a weapon. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene within four minutes. A K-9 search was unable to locate the suspect.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to the call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

David, David so well said. It kind of sums it up very well. Well done once again! Thanks for putting it the way it is and was. People have very short lived memories now days. Or never bothered to keep up with the current affairs unless it served them well at the time. Just saying.

    REGARDING:
” no one ever whined about George and Laura Bush’s vacations. ”

Actually, many whined about President Bush’s vacations. They complained about anything he did while not on vacation and they complained about him not doing while on vacation — no satisfying them.

People complained that DDE spent too much time playing golf. They complained about JFK’s fancy shindigs. They griped about LBJ’s barbecues and Great Society Plan. They complained about every last thing RMN did while in office, even getting out of Vietnam. They complained about GRFord being clumsy and ineffective, about JECarter being afraid of rabid rabbits, about RWReagan LETTING Nancy Reagan redecorate the White House (oh and selling weapons to Iran to kill Iraqis with and funding Contras without Congressional approval), about GHWBush’s inconstant lips regarding new taxes, about WJC’s possible prevarications.

If I went the other way, I would mention they were unhappy with HSTruman’s use of social security funds to rebuild Europe, FDRoosevelt trying to pack the supreme court and push through unconstitutional legislation and pushing the country toward socialism, about HCHoover creating the world wide depression, about …, about Washington’s daliances with his slaves, about King George’s mistreatment of the colonies.

Do we see a pattern yet?

    David in a dissatisfied world

Why did the robber bring that little bitty purse? He won’t get enough to buy a bus ticket out of Pensacola with that. Lets see if the bank claims to be missing 400 million and they want to put it on that guy with the little purse. He could have handed the teller his wallet and said “Here, fill this up.” Stupid crook.

debbie, is the first lady not entitled? no one ever whined about George and Laura Bush’s vacations. In fact, Bush was the most vacationed president in US History,(research it) spending 20 million in tax payers money to fly back and forth from DC to his ranch in crawford..not to mention regular vacations

.ANYWAY….on to the important issue. i sure hope they find this guy, there have been a lot of robberies recently however, thank God for law enforcement..i guarantee you, they will find him and prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.

Is there any reason security cameras have to be blurry and capture only the tops of the heads instead of their faces?

@ Debbie. That should be $4 million. That was the total including the housing for the Secret Service, the flight hours for Air Farce 1, and care and feeding of Bo.

Everett- As far as shooting the “bad guy”– I would hate to be the next person in line if the teller missed and hit me. There was a story a couple of weeks back about a clerk in a store being fired because they resisted some one trying to rob the store. Most companies feel it’s not worth the risk to their personal and others in the store or bank to resist.

As a bank teller, I would give them whatever they asked for. First of all, that is not my money, secondly the money is insured by FDIC and thirdly and most important of all…my life is worth more than any amount of money in that drawer!

Need to arm the tellers. This guy never indicated a weapon so why give him anything. Call the manager and show him the door. If he refused to leave then blow him away.
