The victim was a mentally hanicapped client and yes he did step out in front of the driver. He walked everywhere and had been told many times to use cross walks which he would not do. This time his luck ran out

Bet he was texting,or maybe not. He probably doesn’t have a cellphone. Age doesn’t have anything to do with it. Just as many bad young drivers as old.

obviously the guy stepped in the road, but we will never know if the drivers age had anything to do with it. maybe he wasnt able to respond as quickly. after recently being involved in a wreck with an 80+ person, who totaled my car and then a month later totaled someone elses, i think that maybe age can play a bigger factor then we admit. she was a major sweetheart, but she herself stated that she just couldnt see anything. and she was only 84, not 90.

Should the 19yr old who hit the guy stepping out in front of her in the fog have to have her eyes checked every year? Maybe she needs another driver’s test?

If the pedestrian stepped in front of the driver there just isn’t a whole heck of a lot age had to do with it.

Why are people stepping out into the road? Unfortunately for this man, his luck ran out. It doesn’t matter if you are 16 or 116, you can’t always stop a car right when it needs to be stopped….waiting to hear more about this one.

Once again, why is the drivers age important? He did nothing wrong!

People that age should have to take a driving test at least once a year to keep their license. When you get older your faculties change rapidly, sometimes. Focus is key to safe driving. My grandma was getting Alzheimer’s and it came out in her driving, BADLY. She would get caught up in conversation and forget she was going 90 up 29, she forgot to check the other lane before she merged. She would actually turn sideways in the seat so she could talk better. !!! + Cruise Control!!! I never rode with her again. Thank God for all those defensive drivers, every time I said something she just giggled.

“90″ years old?…Should he REALLY be driving? According to the driver, the pedestrian stepped out in front of him. How can a 90 year old’s eyesight be so wonderful as well as their judgement?

Wow, seem like everytime you turn around you hear about a pedestrian getting hit by a car.
