Henry Greenberry Ray, Jr.

Mr. Henry Greenberry Ray, Jr., 81, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012. in Bay Minette, AL.

Mr. Ray was a native of Bratt, a former resident of Century, and a resident of Bay Minette for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Century Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, a Hadji Shriner, a retired U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired employee of the Exxon Company and attended the Methodist church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Anne Ray and a sister, Florence Kleinatland.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Opal Ray of Bay Minette; three Stepdaughters, Lorraine Gray, Shirley Melton and Paula Joiner, all of Bay Minette; six step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lois Burkett of Century; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Cindy Still officiating..

Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery with Masonic services.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012, from 1 p.m. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home

Pallbearers will be Trent Burkett, Doug Kleinatland, Christopher Haber, Jeff Crenshaw, J.W. Joiner, Matt Curtis and Chris Stewart. Honorary pallbearer will be Dennis Lambeth.
