Police Hunt For Bank Robbery Suspect
December 8, 2011
A Thursday morning bank robbery is under investigation in Escambia County.
A man armed with a handgun demanded cash from a teller at the Suntrust Bank on North Davis Highway about 9:30 a.m. Pensacola Police Department Detective Shannan Fortenberry said the suspect entered the bank, walked up to a teller, pointed a handgun at her, and demanded cash. When the teller complied, he left the bank and ran southbound on Davis Highway.
There were five employees and three customers in the bank at the time; no one was injured.
The suspect is a white male, about 5-feet 10-inchesĀ and at least 200 pounds. He had a grayish brown mustache and was wearing a wool cap, sunglasses, khaki pants, a khaki/olive green colored jacket, and cowboy boots.
Anyone having information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Shannan Fortenberry at (850) 435-1978 or the Pensacola Police Department at (850) 435-1900.

It seems there are more and more people everyday, who believe there is more to be gained from breaking the law, than lost being apprehended. I think of people who steal from banks, and people who steal from programs like medicare and ask what is the difference. I just don’t want to talk about it.
He’s not wearing gloves. It’ll be a matter of time before they match up fingerprints from the door. Hopefully, he does have prints in AFIS.
the glasses and cap looks like the ones sold at the dollar general store…
why don’t people quit robbing hard working people so much and go find a job and support them ownselves. I’m sick of people like this man stealing from hard working citizens instead of making an honest living by working. just outright lazy, GO GET A JOB..work won’t hurt you…and if he gotta rob the place, hes probably mooching off the system, my hardworking dollars, getting free medical and food stamps.
It is a good photo for a change. Ref. the khaki or blue jeans, just look at photo # 1 and # 2 on the color of the jacket. As Paul said the gun was what the teller was interested in.
This is why people should think twice ere convicting on eyewitness reports. Sometimes eyewitnesses see wrongly.
David for cameras
lots of cameras
and honest people
probably, khaki jacket is what they should have said.
I heard this on the scanner and the first APB went out as khaki pants as well.. I guess when someone pulls a gun on ya it’s easy to get confused..they got the jacket right..
It’s Mike Ditka!
>> Is it just me, or does the article say Khaki pants and the photo appears to show blue jeans ?? Just wondering.
I agree. The Pensacola Police release does say khaki pants.

I’m no detective…but the description says khaki pants…but that sure looks like blue jeans in the surveillance camera…
