New Scrap Gold Buying Business Opens In Century
December 20, 2011
A ribbon cutting was held Monday for Century’s newest business.
The Century Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon Monday afternoon for Florida Precious Metals. The scrap silver and gold-buying business is located at 8311 North Century Boulevard, south of Whataburger and across from Workforce Escarosa.
The 1,400 square foot building, which was constructed in 1983 and updated in 2007, formerly housed a medical office.

Yes and just like the Vagrants constantly begging, that stuff should be
banned. You drive down our streets and it looks like a circus.
Very nice, that will sure attract good people and businesses.
Another job for someone who can dance and wants to put on a costume and hold up a “We Buy Gold” sign.
I hope the law is standing by the door to confiscate the stolen goods being sold to this business. How strange that Century would attract this type of business! Bad, bad news for the citizens.
Just what everyone needs and you know Century has a lot of old GOLD to
sell.
I was in a reputable business a few weeks ago to have something repaired, when a woman came in with pounds of GOLD to be scrapped.
The guy behind the counter told her one thing wasn’t going to bring her anyway near what it was worth, but still she didn’t want to keep it, even tho it was a perfectly good item. Then he told her how much he was going to give her and she got angry because she got more for fewer gold items two weeks ago. When she came in she said her AUNT had died.
I am still wondering who died the two weeks before when she
also came in and sold him gold.
NOT~
Would’ve made more of a difference to me if something of more importance would’ve made an effort to open the doors to that building, creating more services and jobs than a scrap-gold business, (ie: Eye doctor, Chiropractor, Dr. Office or Dentist) which will more likely be here today and gone tomorrow!
Yeah soon to be broken into.
Why would they open something like that in century,. it just gives the criminals over there something else to break into… i hope they are smart enough to keep everything of value under lock and key….
