Century Set To Pave Five More Streets On Priority List
December 6, 2011
The Town of Century is set to pave five more streets at a cost of $38,903.70, ending a priority list of paving projects.
The town council voted Monday night to pave Bonwell Lane, Gifford Lane, Barnwell Lane, Field Road and Sellars Road, awarding the contract to Roads, Inc. of NWF. For a cost savings, Century is piggybacking on an Escambia County contract with Roads, Inc.
The project will wrap up a paving project priority list created by the council in 2010.
During the last year, Century has completed paving projects totaling about $270,000 on Freedom Road, Old Flomaton Road, Hecker Road, Elm Street, Hilltop Road, West Cottage Street, Academy Street, Pleasant Hill Road and Ramar Street.

regarding:
“WHY ARE THEY USING MONEY TO PAVE ALL THE ROADS?????????????”
They are using money because construction companies don’t take chickens, pigs or wampum as payment.
They are paving the roads because paved roads are better than dirt roads and because paving anything other than roads would just be silly.
David for proper practices
The trucks that haul the raw materiels to the manufacturer, and the finished product to distributors, travel down streets and roads. I think its what they call infastructure.
@Hello, you would have to be in the know and be able to follow the money. lol
And to think there were those, who said it would never happen.
WHERES ALL THE JOBS AT?? WHY ARE THEY USING MONEY TO PAVE ALL THE ROADS?????????????
