Cantonment Man Is One Of America’s Most Wanted

December 3, 2011

A former Cantonment resident that was the suspected triggerman in the shooting a death of a Pensacola toddler over two months ago is being named one of America’s Most Wanted.

The America’s Most Wanted television program is filming a segment this weekend about 19-year old Dwayne  “Money” Pinestraw. He’s wanted on an open count of murder for the shooting death of Ty’Quarius Moultrie, 19 months old; aggravated battery for the shooting of Vincent Dennis, 23; and firing a weapon into an occupied building for the incident that occurred in July at Pensacola Village, 500 East Fairfield Drive.

Multiple shots were fired into the apartment back on July 15, according to Pensacola Police, shortly after several people were involved in a drug transaction nearby.

Pinestraw’s last known address was on Lake Drive in Cantonment. Pinestraw is a black male, approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall and approximately 130 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to Pensacola Police.

Anyone having information on the Pinestraw’s location or the shooting is asked to contact Lt. Doug Baldwin at  (850) 435-1908, Detective James Reese at (850) 435-1976, or the Desk Sergeant’s Office at (850) 435-1900.

Pinestaw is expected to be featured on America’s Most Wanted with John Walsh on December 17 as part of a special two hour primetime special.

Yes indeed this was and still is a tragic situation and I honestly feel as tho the others that were involved should be punished as well and I mean to the fullest extent of the law the family needs closure and I believe that the complex should be held liable for the simple fact they put the camaras up to discourage drug dealing they know pensacola village is notorious thats why the had the gate up one way in one way out!!! The baby isnt the only one thats been shot out there so what that say about the complex? I pray that the guy comes clean and I pray even harder that they go and get EVERYBODY that was involved God Bless

In this economy, with the reward Pinstraw has on his head, and the FBI and US Marshalls, looking for him, why has he not been found? Mr Pinestraw was most likely neutralized by someone up his chain of command. Those are the only people that would not turn him in for the reward. Place yourself in their position. If Pinestraw’s testimony could put you away or interupt the cash flow, what would you do? Glad I don’t have those headaches. Please stop asking Pinestraw to turn himself in, it sounds ridiculous.

Drug deal goes south and thugs stealing from each other and an innocent child pays the price…Sad day for children when they can’t be safe in their own homes…

Whats sad is an infant being taken from this world – yes by ignorance – and taken from his family by not only a child himself! And I’m sure he has had a rap sheet since his early teens. He needs to be taken of the streets and there are people who most likely know his whereabouts – so do the right thing! Remember what goes around comes around!

This story is all too sad for me being that this baby is my famiy member and definetely did not deserve the ignorance but, just as responsible as Pinstraw & Betts so is Dennis and the uncle. Because I see it like this, I can’t have harsh feelings for the shooter when in all reality he did what any person in that way of living would have done. He was robbed and his things were taken, so he retilated. Yes, he should have never open fired in an apartment not knowing who was in it, but they also shoud not have run where they would have put a child in danger! All of them are responsible for his innocent life because HE DID NOT DESERVE IT. Then, the news had the nerve to say the mother wants to sue the complex for “failure to protect”. No, you have no job and that was the company you kept that put your son here. It’s not the complex to give you free rent and watch your chid while you are home. Im fed up with foolishness. The baby’s birth father was also involved in foolishness now he has LIFE in prison. His mother and father been died since he was 5 so that’s what he felt was his only way. Continue to pray AMERICA

How sad to shoot a child – like that makes you a man. A real man would turn himself in. COWARD.
