Good luck Northview, I hope we win and get in the play offs. Northview has a good group of boys. I hope they all get to play for their family and friends at the homecoming game, do good coach.

A break down of Baker schedule produces some interesting statistics. 6-2 Baker has played eight games going into tonight’s contest and those two losses are against teams with the combined record of 13-3. Those teams are…

8-0 Holmes County. Next verses 7-1 Chipley – winner is district champ,
followed 4-4 Marianna of Class 4A.

5-3 Freeport. Next verses winless in the district Jay followed by 1-7
Rocky Bayou. Freeport won’t break a sweat in taking either
    of these two games.

This leaves us to consider Baker’s six wins, which all came against teams with .500 or worse records. The competitions’ combined win/loss total for Baker wins currently stands at 13-35. Here are listed those loosing teams’ records along with their remaining schedules:

0-8 South Walton. Next 2-6 Bozeman followed by 3-6 Franklin County in the
battle of the toilet bowls. Which team will take the flush
    handle trophy?

1-7 Rocky Bayou. Next 5-3 Aucilla Christian followed by a Freeport pounding.

3-5 West Gadsden. Next district leader 4-4 Blountstown followed by 7-2
    Wewahitchka.

2-6 Bozeman. Next verses winless South Walton followed by winless
Cottondale in the Panhandle’s battles for the worst record
    in 1A.

4-4 Sneads. Next with 3-5 Vernon followed by 2-6 Port St. Joe. Vernon
will earn its district championship with a win Friday night.
3-5 Jay. Break out the Irish shillelaghs as Jay ends its season
against Freeport in a grand finale wood shed thrashin’
that will take place over yonder across the river.

Will Baker be a push over for Northview like Baker’s competition was for them in their six wins? That’s doubtful, since Baker played Freeport into overtime loosing by a field goal 17-14. This game has the making of being a great one and everyone needs to come out and support our Chiefs tonight! Remember, a win over Baker makes Northview the District Champion!
