Northview Chiefs To Hold Pep Rally, Bonfire Thursday Night

November 16, 2011

The district champion Northview High School Chiefs will hold a pep rally Thursday night at 6:30 at the school.

The Family of Chiefs — including students, parents, grandparents, alumni,  future Chiefs, and everyone else — are invited to a pep rally on the “loop” in front of the school.

At 6:30, the Chief mascot, band, color guard, majorettes, cheerleaders, dance team and varsity football players will march from the gym area to the flagpole in front of the school for the pep rally. Once the performances are over, the team captains and coach will perform a “eulogy” for the Wewa Gator. The effigy of the Wewa Gator will be ceremoniously piled on a bonfire, sponsored by the DCT class.

After the demise the Gator, cases of toilet paper will be distributed to roll designated trees at the school.

Everyone who wishes to attend is asked to enter the school campus at the bus loop, turn immediately left, and park on the grassy area to the south of the school next to the ag pasture and Highway 4.  This is the regular NJROTC parking area for football. Once parked, participants should move toward the area off the bus loop adjacent to the trees, toward the security residence.

The Northview Chiefs will face the Wewahitchka Gators at 7:30 Friday night in Bratt. Admission is $8.
