Investigators Still Seeking Clues In Pharmacy Burglary

November 23, 2011

The investigation is continuing into a weekend burglary at a Cantonment pharmacy.

Someone made entry into the Kim’s Pharmacy on Highway 29 about 11:00 Saturday night through the front door. The burglar made his way quickly to the rear of the building, a blue plastic tub in hand, taking prescription narcotics.

He is believed to have fled the scene in a older model white sedan.

Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.  Kim’s Family Pharmacy is offering a $500 reward into addition to the reward offered by Crime Stoppers.

If we had more deputies up here like Mr 5 star promised, during the last pre-election ,……he might have been caught in the act……

Kim why don’t you get some dogs like John did when he was near there, then it would be like deer hunting just follow the blood trail.

From one Kim to another, invest in a really big dog and an even louder alarm system. The noise of the alarm will slow them down. The dog will take care if the rest.

    Just sayin ;-)

Why do our local criminals give Kim’s such a hard time, it’s hard enough to run a business without property damage and theft. I hope he gets caught and goes down for a long time.

Kim and her staff are some of the best people you could ever meet. Kim is good to our community and does NOT deserve this.
You are greeted with a smile when you walk through those doors, and the cashiers are sweet, nice caring people too.
The community loves Kim and her staff.

INSIDE JOB!??? Obviously, anyone who would say such a thing, does not know the people who own and work this business. People with questionable character are usually suspicious of others. Especially those of good character and reputation.

It can’t be the guy from the last break in. This one didn’t get caught (twicw)

@oversight.. Inside job?? Really? Obviously, you don’t work in a pharmacy. Only the CII narcotics are to be locked in a cabinet. The other narcotics (Lortab, Vicodin, Xanax, etc) are on the shelves mixed with the other meds. If you were to lock up every narcotic you would have more drugs in the cabinets than on the shelf. And I doubt the doors to the pharmacy were left unlocked! And do you really think one more lock on a cabinet would stop someone who just broke into a building?? Let’s not be too quick to judge and wait for a more thorough investigation.

This guy knew exactly what he was looking for. If you watch the video, he is searching the shelves for specific narcotics. He is either really knowledgeable or really picky.

    @Oversight

You shouldn’t indulge in such baseless speculation about the good people @ Kim’s.

Aren’t the prescription narcotics susposed to be locked up like in a safe when the business is closed? Sounds like a setup and an inside job.
