Now thats a great breakdown Chiefs Fan.

Here’s the Wewahitchka Gators breakdown from a Chief’s Fans’ perspective…

First, the question is just where is Wewahitchka, Florida? It’s a small town in northern Gulf County some 30 miles south of Blountstown on State Road 71. The county’s population is about 16,000 according to the 2010 census and there is one other high school in the county, Port Saint Joe High. Both schools are in Northview’s rural football classification.

Now for Wewahitchka’s football team and its 7-3 record, which seems much like Northview’s. But just what do Wewa’s wins and losses look like?

Lost 34-26 to Port St. Joe (3-8)

    Lost 51-26 to Vernon (4-6)

Won 47-35 over independent class Robert F. Munroe Day School (5-5)

    Won 52-30 over Cottondale (1-9)

Won 57-48 over Franklin County (3-6)

    Won 47-46 over Graceville (2-9)

Won 47-0 over independent class John Paul II Catholic (0-6)

Won 43-19 over Sneads High (5-5)

Won 52-45 over Deane Bozeman School (4-6)

Lost 40-62 to West Gadsden High (4-6)

Wewa out scored its opponents 437 points to 370. This sounds pretty good. However when one looks at the overall combined team record for these schools of 31 wins to 66 losses, the Wewa Gators’ 7-3 mark is weak at best. Does this mean that Wewahitchka will roll over for the Chiefs? I wouldn’t bank on it. After all, the gators scored 43.7 points per game. So defense, stiff’n up and hold those gators scoreless, and let your offense run wild!!

See ya’ll Friday for what promises to be a good ‘ol gator gigg’in time, and be sure to wear your garnet and gold!
