FDOT, ALDOT Road Construction Projects Suspended Until Monday

November 25, 2011

Both the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) have directed construction contractors working on state roads to cease operations through the weekend according to both departments.

There will be no work on state roads requiring lane restrictions in Alabama or Florida through Sunday.  All major roads in Northwest Florida and South Alabama will be open to normal traffic.

When you girls & guys startup again, please add a series of Safety Reflectors and Dangerous Curve signs on 99A between Molino Road and the split. People need to know they are about to drive, into an abrupt 80 deg turn at 55 MPH. When you are correcting for lateral G forces, and suddenly leave the curve, and the lateral Gs you are fighting instantly stop, you are suddenly making a hard right into a guard rail, or a hard left into the trees, depending on your direction of travel. I bet there are some reflectors out in the County Barn.
