Changes Coming To Cordova Mall

November 8, 2011

Big changes are on the way to Cordova Mall in Pensacola.

Dillard’s will no longer operate a separate Men’s Store, moving their men’s products into their main 230,000 square foot store. At the same time, Belk will close its University Mall Store and consolidate with the Cordova Mall store located in the two-story Dillard’s Men’s Store. The new Belk store will be in place by fall of 2012.

A new store for the Pensacola area, Dick’s Sporting Goods, will move into current Cordova Belk location by mid-2013.

I wish they would take a look at Molino too and build a real mall. So close to Atmore, it would be a great attraction to tourists also. People would make the drive to get away from Cordova Mall. That place is a nasty pitt and all the colored duct tape in the world will not give us a warm cozy which is what it takes to keep people shopping. I hate to feel like The Simon Co thinks we are dumb with minimal money to spend but that’s how it looks. I am ashamed to take any of my visitors shopping there because they have gorgeous malls where they live in MO, TN, MI & NY. I take the to AL to shop! University Mall was a nice place years ago but let’s face it, it has been in a cold war since the day it was born and those powers that own Pensacola have intentionally killed it, stealing the funds from FEMA for Cordova Mall. Illegal? Yes, will they get away with it? YES!

There’s a “mall” in Molino? If so, where?

Dillard’s was inconvenient shopping in two stores…it is about time they moved in together! And University mall is a dead zone except for Sears. Thank goodness Dick’s sporting goods is coming in…we need new stores here. Now if someone would add to our Molino mall……….
