Shots Fired At Deputies

October 13, 2011

An investigation is underway this morning after Escambia County deputies say they were shot at in an Ensley neighborhood late Wednesday night.

Deputies were in an unmarked vehicle conducting an investigation near Airway Drive and Johnson Avenue when someone reportedly shot out the back window of their vehicle. Deputies surrounded the area looking for a suspect in the incident, which occurred just before 11 p.m. So far, there have been no arrests reported in connection with the shooting. But evidence ,including shell casings, was recovered.

There were no injuries reported.

The key to dealing with these gangsters is to deal with them before they exit their vehicle. They have limited range of motion and are probably rattled by that BOOM BOOM BOOM. I have always woundered why they hold their weapons at a 90 deg angle?

They will get these gangsta’s because they shot at them. I know they
will shake down everyone around to find out who did this, to bad they don’t work that
hard to find all the perpetrators of the horrible crimes here to good citizens.

I really feel bad for the one who said they moved into that area with their children
and are now having to try to get out of their lease. Some home owners are
having the same problem and it has gone on for years, yet the police do nothing.

Does it occur to anyone if they refuse to cooperate with LEO, so much so that they shot at them when they come around, maybe they don’t want the help. LEO’s can only do so much they need the help of the community. I say leave them be. They will cooperate or they will die in the streets. But I’m probably the wrong person to ask since I’m a believer in Anarchy

I agree I also live in a nice area of town. But we could really use some code enforcing. I also wonder why nothing is ever done in my none hoodrat neighbor hood. Guess if people had BIG RIMS things would get done…..

At least they are in the area and really that is not the “hood” I feel sorry for people who judge people because of their cars I live in a nice area and laugh at the stupied people around me thinking that everything is all good around them when ice is being cooked by the boys with big tires on their trucks but guess what since we dont live in the “hood” noone cares I could care less what anyone says about what I just wrote cause half the time it doesnt get posted . So i guess people will keep on judging but maybe since hoodrats are problems maybe living around methed out pilled out trash will be so much better and as far as getting help when dealing with one forget esco they all know each other cause they grew up with the crackheadtrash. And 911 will be nice enoughto tell you the officers will be there soon not to call back what Im saying is the grass is never greener on the other side unless your neighbor is growing marajuana grass cause it is real green.

too bad that all too often, when the law comes into the neighborhood after a crime occurs, no one seems to know anything or no one seems to have seen anything…its an uphill battle for the police to rid the area of the low life when they cant get the community to speak up and assist them…fear of retribution, im sure…sad

This happened right outside of our apartment complex, we heard the shots last night! We moved here about 3 weeks ago with our children because we didn’t know any better. Now were tryhing to get out of our lease to move out since not only are shootings happening we were robbed 1 week ago! Unless you’re a gang banging hoodrat this area is not nice at all.

It takes a real idiot to open fire on the law. Stop with extreme prejudice.

This is not a good area to be in at any time of day or night. I hope they catch the person responsible!

as our way of life progressively disintegrates into the law of the jungle we must back our last line of defence and those who stand on that line before we spiral into anarchy.
