On A Roll: West Florida Wins Another One

The West Florida Jaguars are on a big time wining streak — the longest ever in the history of the school. With a 25-19 win over Rutherford Friday night, the Jags improved to 7-0.
West Florida took an early lead with 7:03 to go in the first quarter with a field goal from Luke Jackson on the opening driver for the Jags. West Florida scored again with 7:03 in the first with a 43-yard touchdown by Lawrence Lee on a pass from Kyle Faxlanger. A good kick from Luke Jackson, and Jaguars were up 10-0.
West Florida scored again in the first with a 25-yard field goal from Jackson.
In the second, the Jaguars saw a Lee touchdown on a 46-yard pass from Faxlanger and a 38-yard field goal from Jackson. In the third, West Florida had a safety after Rutherford snapped the pigskin over the kicker’s head.
West Florida (7-0, 3-0) will host Arnold next Friday night in a district matchup.

Well yeah, no kidding they don’t play the “Big 3 P” schools. They’re not in the same district. Obviously, WFHS is playing teams in there own district. They’ve also played Washington, Escambia, and Tate and beat all of them, whereas they never had before. Give them a little credit for making MAJOR improvements this year. Maybe in the coming years they will play Pace, PHS, and PFHS…who knows. But we WFHS fans are very proud of the work they’ve done this year and the program they’re BUILDING so go elsewhere with your negativity!!!
I bet every Pensacola team wish they had the schedule that WFHS has, I notice not one of the big 3 P schols ( Pace, Pine Forest, PHS) is on the schedule. Coach Lees needs to be thanking the entire new defensive coaching staff that came in, it is very clear that they are a big part of the turnaround this year.
Awesome game guys! It’s great that so many schools scheduled their homecoming games with WFHS this year. The joke has been on them. The Jags showed these folks how to WIN a homecoming game! Don’t let up guys, the scouts are watching!
