The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle burglary on North Highway 99 near O’Farrell Road about 6:30 Wednesday morning. They were able to locate a suspect track, and a K-9 unit from Century Correctional Institution responded to aid in the search. It’s obvious most folks don’t have a clue! If it was your personal stuff that some low life scum came onto your property and took what you worked hard to have you would feel quite different. It may be a 38 or a 12 gauge, he or she don’t matter. Hope the next time they do this the home owner is able to get them in his sights. We would all be better off without these parasites!!

THAT CANINE TEAM IS FROM CENTURY C.I. AND PROBABLY THE BEST SOURCE OF PROTECTION WE GOT UP HERE. THE SGT THAT RUNS THE DOGS IS ONE OF THE BEST GUYS AROUND AND I WOULD MATCH THEM UP TO ANY CANINE TEAM ANY TIME AND ANT WHERE.

Never mind, had some time to digest his not being in uniform and
it hit me he has to follow the dogs and probably through a lot of
messy thicket some times,, so what he is wearing I’m sure makes
more sense and holds up much better than a uniform.

As Gilda would have said :”Never Mind”.

Caught it with the helicopter, yeah if it was overhead when the crime occurred maybe. If I remember the money used for the bird is a grant which can only be used for the bird. Has nothing to do with his budget. Keep up the good work Sheriff, atleast I know those plants wont make it to the street. “Maybe” with those plants gone it will be one less drug deal gone bad.

Maybe they could have caught him using the helicopter if the sheriff hadn’t blown his budget looking for pot…

It is only getting worse, and the “Country Folk” are not excluded, as they use to be. When you live way out, and not at home, you are an easier target than “City Folk ‘ are.
Not many Neighbors, or Law around to keep an eye on you’re stuff. I have had more stolen living in the woods than I ever did living in town. And I am talking stolen Livestock, locked up 4-wheelers, and every bit of the copper wire stripped out of a hunting camp, twice!

    Just a fact:
80 percent of people shot with a handgun survive. That little under powered 38 pistol gives you a false since of protection. Yes, close range in Town, it would be effective. Try a 25 yard shot out of that little 38 and see how well you do, and that is not a moving target.
I am a lot happier with a short barreled 12 or 20 gauge shotgun for my “House Gun:”

between a 38 and a German Shepard that loves her family, try it bud ! Country folks dont take to well to thieves taking what they have worked so hard to get !

Burglar….if you read this article, you better wake up and recognize that you are dealing with Country folks who have the firearms on ready, set, go and are not afraid to use them and ask the questions later. Don’t be stupid…get a job and work for your own stuff like the rest of us do!

Maybe he/she won’t run by your driveway. Vigilante justice is no justice at all.

You can run, but you can’t hide. They’ll catch you. Stop by my driveway tonight, and me and my 38 special will catch you.
