Information from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has led the arrest of a couple in Georgia charged with beating their five children with electrical cords while depriving them of food and water for days.

Anthony Irvin, 33, and his wife, 33-year old Tammy Irvin, are charged with 10 counts of cruelty to children, five counts of contributing to the deprivation of a minor, four counts of battery/family violence and two counts of false imprisonment. The couple was booked into the Clayton County, Georgia, Jail.

The abuse allegedly occurred at the couple’s home in Hampton, Georgia, about 20 miles south of Atlanta, according to WSB TV in Atlanta.

The abuse was reported to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office while the children were visiting relatives in Escambia County. According to the WSB TV, the children told relatives in Escambia County that they were locked in garage without food and water and not allowed to go to the bathroom. Some of the children also told authorities that they were locked in a closet for days after being beaten.

For those of you who want to do something to help children like these, please consider being a foster parent. You can change a childs life by giving them the very basics, love, shelter, food and security.

I feel the courts should require this couple to give a full explanation for these horrible actions. If the couple finds it difficult to expound on these matters, the court could furnish an assistant to help loosen the conversation, an articulator if you like. There is much to be learned and gained from the Irvins insight. Let us spare no effort in the inquiry.

I have no words because I am so blow away why any parent could or would do this to their child(ren). I just hope and pray that Florida DID NOT send these child(ren) back to Georgia. And hopefully the justice system in Georgia is way better than ours here. Hope they get what is coming to them. Just maybe someone in jail will get a word of their actions and do some justice of their own. Prayers go to the child(ren) and the other family members.

It’s people like that, I want to do exactly to them that they did to those children. Make them feel every bit the pain and hurt those poor kids had to endure. And I am not even a violent person!! Just makes me so angry. I cannot have children but those horrible people can? The children are now scarred for life. I pray for them and I pray they find a home that will show them that not all people are bad and they will find out what to be truly loved feels like.

I agree with Valerie, these stories just make me want to do violence and
I have never been an angry person. I don’t know how people could do these
    things to kids.

Sorry but Lethal Injection is all I can say. How aweful! I am so sick of hearing these horror stories of these sweet little innocent children being hurt. They look to us Parents for protection not abuse!!!!!!

Regarding the comments of doing this to the parents to punish them, that is usually the problem; this was probably done to one or both of the parents when they were children. There is a line between punishment and cruelty, and I’ve even heard some say the Bible condones punishment that might leave a little bruising so some of this child abuse is being handed down by parents and by others as ok.

How in the world can parents do this to their children I just can’t understand… They deserve to be done excatly the way they did those children… I hope those children recover and can lead normal lives and never have to be around those people again.. Praying for those sweet children.

Do Unto Others…….Just Sayin’. I think throwing them in jail is too easy. Got an electrical cord? Get my point…..

Lord Bless these children! Give them a new found hope and help them recover from these traumatic events. I pray these children can take this situation and turn it into good for the glory of the Lord! It’s possible and God is good all the time.

They need to be done the same way as treated their children. People like this do not deserve to have kids. Someone should use an extention cord on them and starve them like they did the kids.

LOCK THEM UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY
