Flomaton Area Residents Asked To Greet Returning Soldier
September 9, 2011
Area residents are invited so their support Saturday in Flomaton as a native son returns home from serving in Afghanistan.
Chris Burnham will arrive via Highway 113 Saturday morning. Community members are asked to line the highway from the Highway 113 and Highway 31 intersection to the Holt Subdivision with American flags and homemade signs.
Organizers are asking to supporters to line up beginning about 9 a.m. for an arrival sometime close to 10 a.m.
Burham has served in Afghanistan in the Air Force Reserves for about six months. The Master Sergeant has been in the service for 19 years — four year active service and 15 in the reserves.

Welcome Home!!! We felt honored & privileged to be one of the many motorcyclists escorting you home! Thank you!
I want to say Thank You everyone that came out today. It meant so much to me and my family to have everyone there. Thanks to the ones that brought the food, to the motorcycle riders that lead me home from the Yellowhammer to my house, to the people on the sides of the road. I want to give a special thank you to Tara Smith, Alisa Hart, Robbie Egee, Mike and Serese Taylor, and everyone else. I know that there were many more that werent named. Thank you again to everyone!
