Charges Dropped Against Century Man Accused Of Assaulting Pregnant Wife In Street
September 21, 2011
Charges have been dropped against a Century man that was arrested in July for allegedly assaulting his pregnant wife in the middle of a local street because she was seeing another man.
Terrance Terrell Grice, 26, had been charged with charged with domestic violence related aggravated battery.
According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Grice had been released from jail, returning home to find out his pregnant wife was involved with another man.
The wife told deputies said Grice had followed and harassed her all day before attacking her and pushing her to the ground in the intersection of Pond and George streets in Century. She told deputies she grabbed a glass gin bottle and fought back, leaving Grice with lacerations on his back and shoulder.
The wife suffered minor scratches during the incident. She refused treatment by Escambia County EMS.

If you have to beat your wife, you don’t need a wife.
If your wife beats you, you sure don’t need that wife.
[ Repeat the above substituting "husband" for "wife" ]

I wonder how long he was in jail and upon being released found his wife was PG. If he was in jail and she was fooling around maybe—just maybe he was upset over that. He was wrong to hit her and all of the rest, but as Paul Harvey use to say–”the rest of the story” can some times be very interesting.
Hmm… Wonder if the fact that his injuries were all on his back had anything to do with the charges being dropped? Perhaps the state just didn’t have enough evidence for a solid conviction.
This is crazy…did the woman refuse to testify??? In DV inncidents..there shouldnt be a “change of heart” ..why didnt the state just go after the guy? I know some1 who got 6 mths probation for a similar situation & I was there & there was no physical attack on the woman ….it was the other way around..he plead no contest just to get the crazy lady out of his life!!!!
Hopefully Grice’s wife won’t end up like Preston Scott’s wife did. Preston murdered his wife the day after Christmas and this happened about two weeks after domestic violence charges were dropped by the state’s attorney back 2004.
I am glad Mrs Grice was not seriously injured. I am going to take a look at this Pond Street. I have noticed it seems to be the epicenter, for much of the crime that occures in century. I wonder if there is some anomaly, that could account for this.
