Century To Consider Draft Budget In Hearing Today

September 8, 2011

The Century Town Council will hold a public hearing on the town’s new budget at 5:01 this afternoon to be followed by a regular council meeting.

“The draft budget becomes the tentative budget after the first reading on September 8,” Town Clerk Leslie Gonzalez said.  The budget will be formally adopted at a later date. According to the agenda for the hearing, there is no property tax increase planned for Century residents this year.

A regular council meeting rescheduled due to Monday’s Labor Day holiday will follow at 5:15 p.m.

Both meetings are open to the public at the Century Town Hall.
