Arnold Gets Life For Murdering Pregnant Woman, Baby

A Cantonment man was sentenced Thursday to life in prison for the stabbing death of a pregnant Cantonment woman and her unborn child.
Phillip Arnold, 66, was sentenced by Judge Jan Shackelford to life in prison for the murder of 44-year old Angela Castella Brown. He also received a concurrent life sentence for the murder of her baby Angel Chambers. On August 19, after a two-day trial, Arnold was found guilty by an Escambia County jury of second degree murder for killing Angela Brown and first degree murder for killing her baby, Angel Chambers.
On July 5, 2010, Arnold fatally stabbed Brown, who was six months pregnant, on South Chipper Road. She underwent an emergency C-section after she was stabbed. The baby died just over seven hours after being delivered.

yes, terri, women can legally kill their babies before they’re born. That doesn’t mean others get to do it. nor does it matter here, the baby was delivered by C section and survived several hours before dying due the the actions of this man.

I think he should have to look at pics of her and the baby everyday for the rest of his life!No punishment could be enough! I also disagree with the fact this is murder when they commit murder everyday in the clinic! I hope 1 day they will stop this horrible practice! God destroyed Sodom and Gamorah for less!
Just as well. If he had gottent he death penalty, he surely would have died in jail on death row before his time came. Either way we would be paying for him. Better in jail than on the street.
Now, we taxpayers will have to foot the astronomical bill to house, feed, and provide medical care to this geriatric killer for the most expensive years of his life. It’s a shame there was not a more cost effective form of punishment available.
Yet had the mother aborted the baby she would have been within her legal rights…she could have taken the babys life as a “choice” someone else takes its life it is murder.Our judial system needs and overhall,as does our nation and it’s government.
