WXBM Names Marty White’s New AM Partner

Radio station WXBM has selected Lindsey Marie Addison to partner with longtime local radio personality Marty White on “Your Hometown Morning Show”, anchoring the market leading radio station 102.7 WXBM.
Lindsey Marie, a graduate of Pace High School and the University of West Florida, was one of over two hundred applicants to try out as White’s partner.
“For almost two decades, ‘Your Hometown Morning Show’ has been the top morning show in Pensacola and with the addition of Lindsey Marie, we have no doubt that trend will continue. This is a rare opportunity and we couldn’t be happier to find someone in our own backyard to partner with Marty,” David Cobb, WXBM station manager said.
“I am overjoyed, and blessed to be joining the WXBM team,” Lindsey Marie said. “This has been a dream of mine for many years, and to finally see that dream being realized is amazing. I am humbled and so grateful for the support from my family, friends, and our listeners. I could not do this without you all, and I can not wait for you to wake up with Marty and me in the mornings!”
“I’ve been around a while and have worked with some talented people” said Marty White. “Lindsey Marie is talented, sharp, fun and she is real! She’s funny, too. Folks are gonna like her and they’ll like waking up with our show.”
The “Your Hometown Morning Show” airs from 6-10 a.m. each weekday on WXBM 102.7 FM.

She will be missed very much! You need to bring her back Marty!
Linda was the best part of that morning show!!!! she was funny, full of energy, and will be missed! Marty is nothing but a redneck, wanna b race car driving dud! Get another male host & maybe it will be a descent radio station!

Why is that people look at a pretty girl and think she has loose morals and she is dumb. She needs a chance to prove herself. I am over weight and 67 years old. I play tennis, If you just look at me you would think I could not possibly play tennis. Everyone deserves a chance.
Linda Lawrence was released from her contract w/ WXBM because her and Marty got into an “altercation”, after which Linda decided she could no longer work w/ him. If you’re going to blame anyone for anything, blame Marty.

Listen up boys. It has nothing to do with giving the new gal a chance or not. It’s about the post by Someonewhoknows giving Linda a chance to come clean or he/she is going to spill the beans. In the first place, it’s not set up for them to be Linda’s ‘counsel’, and in the second place; Someonewhoknows doesn’t know a damn thing!

Get a good book on cassette or cd and listen to that…. you will like it better and you will usually learn something.

I was like most of ya’ll I loved listening to Linda also!!! But you need to give this girl a chance it may work out to where you love her also. sometimes you have to accept change whether you want to or not. Good Luck Lyndsey Marie you have some relly big shoes to fill. i hope you the best.

Listened last week and want to say I also don’t want to hear about her clothes and in particular her wearing pink. Schoolgirls wear pink.
Linda carried the show livening up that “dial tone” she had for a partner. Did they do interviews for her replacement at Sammy’s? Doesn’t look like she would relate to WXBM listeners very well. I’ll change my dial!
Linda was fired and it was no fault of hers…it was the good old boy network and marty and his friend Wendall Hall….maybe Linda will get a good lawsuit going against a joke of a radio station….is this new girl posing for a playboy ad or what
Not sure what happened to Linda, but I know she is missed by many. I stopped listening after she left….I did try to listen a couple of times, but Marty’s constant talk about the race track left me a little bored. Yeah, I agree about the pic of the new gal. She needs a little coverage and a sandblaster. Linda was real down to earth. Miss you girl!

I know what happened and I will spill the beans if you decide to lie. This woman is horribly bitter. I am actually a listener again since she is gone. I would have rather died than listen to Wxbm while she was there. She made me want to throw up. Way to go WXBM yeaaaa. I actually like your station again. Oh by the way, I love Lindsey Marie. She is sweet. This is not a personal attack, only the truth!
I heard she was fired because she talked about her religion on air, and some people complained about it.

Personally I do not care for her already she comes across as a 20 something who can only share information about clothes and shoes. I would prefer to have Linda back but thanks to Lynn West she is gone.
I will be switching to CAT Country instead after almost 20 yrs of listening only to WXBM.
I have been a listener of WXBM for many years, and to wake up, turn the radio on, and listen to Marty & Linda’s morning show; could really get someones day started. Linda always knew how to make the morning show lively. I don’t know what has happened, but I wish someone would come out with it… Linda, you will be missed very much… Anyway, congrats Lindsey…
