No Property Tax Increase For Century Residents
August 4, 2011
The Town of Century will not increase property taxes for the next year.
Ad valorem taxes will remain at .9048 mils. Even with the same tax rate as last year, city officials said that property tax revenues will actually decrease. That’s because property values are down.

Wow! I thought the good mayor said the town was not making money! They missed a chance to raise taxes on the residents, too?
Better watch out, businesses generate more revenue than residences; they’ll be wanting to claim eminent domain and seize the property to give to some business-the US Supreme Court has condoned it, you know. It could be a trick!
(tongue-in-cheek)
After seeing that junk shop, I believe it.
alright! thanks, we need a break. wish the county, state, feds, would take notice.
