I am so saddened for the loss of your brave son. I want to thank you for raising a fine young man who must have loved his country. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss and be assured my thoughts and prayers are with you each day.
To the family of LCpl Travis Nelson,
My words can never ease the pain of your sons death, but I know LCpl Nelson joined the Marine Corps to defend this great Nation of ours and he did it voluntarily. He was not forced, but he courageously signed up knowing he was going to fight. He did not run, he stood his ground and he did so with HONOR. I could not be more Proud of what he stands for, and what he stands for is Freedom and Courage. We, in the United State continue to be free because of your sons willingness, strength and courage. He is forever etched in my Memory and within the fighing spirit of my soul. I only wish the outcome would have been different. Again, no words can ease the pain, but I’m so darn proud to have served with such a fine young Warrior as your son. Semper Fi and God Bless
HE HAS NOT GONE, BUT RESTS IN THE ARMS OF THE LORD. AS OUR PRAYERS WILL ALWAYS BE WITH HIS FAMILY. THANK THE LORD FOR THIS BRAVE MARINE. GOD BLESS

Today the NHS Seniors did our first senior parade in memory of Lcpl Travis Nelson. Instead of the senior flag being on the back of the truck leading the parade, we had an american flag. Travis will be deeply missed and will remain in our thoughts a prayers.
