why why or how can someone do this to a baby ….if he is found guilty he should be beat to death just like the child..why send him to prison to play basketball and eat for free…

Blunt force could be accidently also, a fall of some sort. The autopsy will tell exactly what hit the child, where, and by what force. A lot of things will be in account.

to curious—–there are more than you think. Drugs are becoming rampid and the younger generation does not see the wrong in someone on drugs taking care of children. Welcome to the new age. And yes, they will make him serve his time left on his probation due to the violation, regardless of the outcome of the homicide investigation.

As a matter of public record the accused is on probation for a drug violation and violated probation because he was tested positive when he was arrested. He was charged later with murder after an investigation. He really sounds like an upstanding guy…..NOT!! What mother would leave their daughter with a dope feen?

ifish4- this current article was updated- in the original article made public yesterday, there was very limited information about the incident that was reported…some of the initial comments reflect that.

Some of you people need to re-read the article, it plainly states that the toddler died from severe blunt force trauma. I might be wrong but to me that more than likely means someone beat the toddler to death.

with the limited information given at this time, i can certainly concieve of scenerios that would/could point to others, as well…my question might be: what was the state of alertness or physical condition that the two year old was in, at the time in which mr herbert recieved the child on wednesday nite?..also, was this the first time that he had been asked to watch this neighbors child overnite?…a good lie detector test, phone records, 911 tapes and urine, blood/drug screen might prove beneficial for the detectives and the accused…but, the autopsy will reveal more precise information…best to assume innocence, until ALL facts are obtained and he has his day in court….my sincere condolences to all who loved the little angel.

Must have some evidence somewhere…or they would not have arrested him. Hope all are held accountable …where the responsibility lays …because SOMEONE is responsible…

He is innocent. There is no evidence whatsoever that he done this he should not be held on a murder charge with NO evidence. The mother and father are pointing fingers when they should be looking at themselves. This man has a fiancĂ© and kids of his own he should be at home with them instead of being charged with something he didn’t do.

He didn’t do it, CPR was administered and the child was dead before Rock knew. Everyone knows Rock is a good guy and he wouldn’t do anything like that

It saddens my heart every time a new born baby or a child is killed. People please in Gods name lets stop killing gods little angles. If he wanted them in heaven with him so soon, he never would have made any of us fertile. God bless us with the little ones for a reason. They are our backbone when we all turn old and feable. The little children needs us right now. Please stop the killing of our babys, they are so preciouse. I gave birth to three wonderful boys raised them up with god on my side. They are young men now. I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS…I KNOW ROC VERY WELL && I KNOW THAT HE LOVES CHILDREN VERY MUCH. Y IS THE MOTHER NOT BEING QUESTIONED?? OR ARRESTED?? I HAVE A CHILD BY HIM && HE LOVES HER…HE WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN HIS RIGHT MIND. I WILL PRAY FOR BOTH FAMILIES.

I am with Tara to many questions yet to be answered. But I can almost bet somebody is going to render an opinion one way or the other about guilt before the questions are answered and released to the public. Just bet. There will be people convicting and people will be defending as usual on here.

A lot of questions: Was it his child?, Who’s child?, Why did he have the child with him? What did the child do?, Did he have a history of child abuse?, Did he have any temper issues? Did the child die in its sleep and they just suspect foul play, but not sure? Was the child taken to the hospital, or 911 called immediately? Was CPR administered? Was bones broke, was death because of suffocation?. So many questions.
