This is @it’s not the moms fault!! I don’t think anyone blamed the mom if you will read it carefully the question was ask as I did where were the parents. You can not deney he was a ward of the state either. Don’t be so defensive think about what your saying here it’s not going to change anything anyway. The justis system will get it figured out and if he did not do it then he should walk. Just saying “Don’t be so quick to draw conlusions”.

Just because it’s news doesn’t mean it’s true! Remember the music teacher that was recently accused?

I used to think how people turned out was a direct result of how they were raised. But now that I have 1 foot in the grave – ergo ‘older and wiser’ – I realize it’s genes and dna – maybe from generations back – but still 99% is genes and dna. And it’s a scientific fact, they say, once a pervert, always a pervert. I don’t think they can help themselves. But they definitely do not need to be out and about among us non-perverts.

I just wish there’d be a fad again of wearing WWJD bracelets and rings….
My prayers are with this boy, his family and the victim and his family.

    REGARDING:
“Iran’s method reminds me of the Salem witch trials. – - – we aren’t savages”

I’m just guessing, but I imagine he wasn’t talking about the method of deciding guilt or innocence, but rather what they do with people who do things such as is said to have happened. Nobody really wants to punish the innocent, but few want the guilty to continue to prey on the innocent, either.

The Puritans had rejected the teachings of the Catholic Church but still adopted their belief that any accused of witchcraft was guilty and would be proven guilty if tortured harshly enough long enough. The Salem Witch Trials ended when someone accused the governor’s wife of being a witch at which time the governor announced there were no witches and it all came to a halt.

Unlike witches in league with the Devil, there ARE child molesters. Not everybody accused is one but not everybody accused is innocent, either. We wish the guilty never lived among us. That desire doesn’t strike me as savagery but rather a tender desire to protect children from monsters–once correctly identified.

@its not his mom fault!! WELL SAID, SO PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT IT IS HIS MOTHER FAULT… THANK YOU.. ALL THIS STUFF IS JUST RUMORS BECAUSE DON’T NOBODY REALLY KNOW THE TRUTH…. THAT IS ALL :-)

  17. Its not his mom fault!! on July 14th, 2011 8:33 pm

Ok here we go blaming the mom!! He has a great mom!!! She has done nothing but raised him in a loving caring home!!!! So please don’t start blaming her!! You can only take a child so far in life and once they get to a certain point they realize they have a mind of their own!! And thats a fact!!! You cant always blame the parents for what a child do so please stop and think for a half a sec, u will realize most likely know someone who was raised right but CHOSE to do wrong!!! And then u have ppl that was raised by parents that didnt care two cents about them and they turn out great!! Its all about choices!!!!!!

I don’t know if he is guilty or not but the thought of him doing something like that is absolutely disgusting at the least. He very well may have done what he is charged with and if he did then they need to trow the book at him. I know it’s going to take our tax dollars again but it appears we have already been taking care of him for most of his life. Don’t know what happened with the parents and will not speculate but every child needs a caring parent who takes care of them and loves them. He being no exception but with that said it does not excuse him from what he has done. I would really want to know whay the parents had nothing to do with raising this child.

@James Broel.. You are absolutely correct.. No one can legislate morality regardless of how strict they make the laws.. But even though we are a civilized country with freedoms not enjoyed anywhere else in the world, my fear is that we are falling into such a state of moral decay that we could one day become a nation of savages.. That being said, I would still NOT want to live under Iranian law..

He might be a minor at 17, but he has been charged as an adult.

(And as a side note, the names and mugshots of juveniles arrested for felonies in Florida are public record, even if they are charged as juveniles)

presume innocent til proven quilty, hopefully more will come out about this, he could have been assaulted himself so maybe that truth will come out and they can charge that person, on the other hand. kids have been known to fib to get attention or out of revenge, what if it is that? oh too late! this MINOR’s picture is on the internet for all to see, there has to be a better way of handling problems like this, but it is all we got at the moment, so let the process of healing begin and these young lives can be put back on the right track.

@OldMarine…this is why Iran is different than our country…we have checks and trials to determine what happened usually in a forthright way…but not always. Iran’s method reminds me of the Salem witch trials. There is a reason for freedoms in this country that are taken for granted in other locations. Agree with Iran’s method or not…we aren’t savages.

I was just informed that this boy rode the bus with my boys. I am so disgusted with this behavior! I’m with Sam, where were the parents?

  27. Atmore G on July 14th, 2011 8:13 am

This is absolutely disgusting.. Is this how children are being raised in this country? Many would have you believe that these are victims, and maybe they are in some ways, but what has happened to us that we can no longer raise our children to become good citizens.. Many parents are poor and still manage to raise their children properly.. Things like this are very disturbing to me and do not bode well for the future of our country..

  28. sam on July 14th, 2011 6:20 am

where were mom and dad? 17 and a ward of the state. now we all have to pay.

  29. OldMarine on July 14th, 2011 12:36 am

the only thing I like about Iran is how they deal with this sort of thing.
