Just heard today of Ms. Bradley’s passing. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss. but I know God has a special place in heaven for her with many rewards for the life she demonstrated here on earth. This is one fine lady I will truely miss. She was definitely an angel in our mist. Since I was unaware of her passing and missed the funeral I wish to let the family know of some amazing encounters I had with her that I will always remember. She was a person who was quiet, humble, independent, caring and a very sweet christian lady. I met Ms. Bradley by working at EREC (Walnut Hill) but have not seen her in over a year because I was laided off. The most heartwarming experience I had with Ms. Bradley was the story she told me of the day she was at the Davisville shopping center & this man got sick, was all alone and fell down on the concrete unable to get up. She stated, people would pass by and no one would help him. She knew she could not pick him up because she was so small and he was much larger. She said, ” She tried anyway and got him up! She told me it was only God doing that because she could never have done it on her own.
Another encounter, One day I was driving down the road close to Oak Grove Baptist church when I seen an elderly lady struggling to walk up a hill in the scorching heat. I stopped and went back. It was Ms. Bradley. She was working at the church & locked her keys in her car. We went back to her car & she started to get out. I ask her to stay in the truck because she was breathing heavily from the heat. She didn’t want to but I Finally got her to do it while she was giving me directions from the truck. Surprisingly, with her directions, we got it unlocked. My point is how many women in their 80’s today are still cleaning churches, driving vehicles without air conditioning and no cell phone to call for help. Truely amazing. It was an honour to help someone as giving and caring as she was.
It was a definite honour to have known her.
