Century Mayor Freddie McCall Running Again

Century Mayor Freddie McCall announced Wednesday that he’s running for mayor again.

“We’ve just come so far in four years, and there’s work to be completed,” McCall said. “There are lots of things in the works. I just feel like we are on the brink of good things happening and getting some industry in Century.”

Wednesday morning, McCall became the first candidate to prefile for the Century mayor’s job.  McCall was elected to the Century Town Council in 2004  before being elected as mayor in 2007.

The general election in Century is in October.

    I WILL NOT VOTE FOR MCALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY HUSBAND HAD A STROKE 3 WEEKS AGO I HAD TO SPENT 150.00 FOR MEDICINES I CALLED THE CITY HALL AT LEAST 4 TIMES AND LEFT (MR MCALL) AT LEAST 3 VOICE MESSGAE ON HIS VOICE MAIL….. I NEEDED TIME ON MY WATED BILL TILE THE 1ST THAT WOULD OF BEEN ONLY 4 DAYS I NEED THIS DONE….ONE LADY TOLD ME DOWN THERE THEY STOP LETTING ANYONE SET UP THEIR BILL BECAUSE TO MANY CALLING IN,,,,, MY QUESTION TO HER WAS DID EVERYONE ELSE HUSBAND HAVE A STOKE TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE SAID WELL NO BUT! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU GOT A PHONE CALL BACK I GOT MINE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     I think the quotation about needing four more years should be given to Mayor Shell. I think he has been using that line for twenty years,and we are still waiting.

    I will vote for freddie, unless Mrs Hammonds runs again. She has got my vote.

    Rarely, if ever vote Democrat. But, when you ran for mayor, our family voted for you! You are a good man, and have a good testimony for the Lord. God Bless.

    thank you mr freddie,the town will be ok with u in office as mayor again,u have done some great things for century keep it uo and god bless
