Century Care’s Hildreth Elected VP Of State Group

July 21, 2011

Mae Sanders Hildreth, director of activities at Century Care Center, has been elected vice president of the Florida Health Care Activity Coordinators Association (FHCA) District XII.

“It has always been my dream to work in activities in a nursing home,” Hildreth said, adding that her mom worked as a nurse until she was 81, with her latter years spent working in a nursing home. “I was raised in it.”

“I strive to do my best to add quality of life for our seniors,” she said.

I have known this lady for over 16 years and am proud to call her ‘friend’. We were neighbors, and have worked as volunteers for each other to help in several different job related activities over the years. . The one thing I do know is that she “loves her job” and that she genuinely cares about the residence where she works and they love her in return. She has always put her whole heart into whatever she does and does above and beyond the call of duty. We have been there for each other to encourage when things were down and to rejoice in the ‘up’ times~ this is a time of ‘rejoicing’! Any time someone has been recognized for a job well done by their peers and then given a position of honor, it not only is a time to rejoice with them, but also this surely makes CCC a special place because she is there. We’re proud of you Sissy~ you have worked hard, starting at the bottom, worked your way to where you are today. I know your mom would be sooo proud of you and somehow I think she knows… Love you, Sissy…

Sissy, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You deserve no less. We used to talk about this stuff in the afternoons. I miss seeing you. I knew you would do great things like this, if the administration would only pay attention & give you the opportunity.

You are a terrific lady & an inspiration…. God Bless You!!!
Keep up the good work. Those folks up there need you, as you need them.
