An 87-year old Cantonment woman crashed her vehicle into a dentist office in Pensacola on Monday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Charlotte Lucas was traveling through the parking lot of a Doctor Monte Treadway’s office on Village Oaks Drive in Pensacola when she failed to stop in handicap parking place in front of the business. Her 2002 Toyota Avalon continued into the front of the building, causing about $1,500 in damage to the building and $5,000 in damage to the car.

I agree after a certain age you should be checked for reaction time and vision. I wish they would make the teenager wait until they are 16 to get a drivers permit and 18 for the license. Maybe by then they will be old enough to know what a vehicle is capable of doing while your mine is in play land. A study in the news says the grandchildren are safer riding with there grandparents then there parents.
Poor lady, it’s tough enough to get older & now people will TRY to have her license revoked which almost kills an older person.
I’m glad she didn’t injure herself or anyone else.
I think once people get a certain elderly age they should have to take a driving test. I understand that in some cases that an accident is due to a medical emergency, but most of them are not. I hope the woman is ok….
I’ve never been that eager to go to the dentist !
