GL if Westmoreland didn’t get ran off I don’t think Mr. Marcilliat has anything to worry about. And I know there is some great teachers there but it won’t hurt to weed out the bad ones. And if something happen under Mr. Marcilliat’s watch like happen under Westmoreland’s a couple years back I think he would have it checkout not wait tell someone sends a letter to the school broad.

Mr. Marcilliat a first time high school principal and only the 3rd in over twenty five years. It seem that a few folks have a very negative view of JHS and what it stands for. I would say Mr. Marcilliat should build on what he inheratied and not try and do much weeding or changing. Jay is a great school because of what the teachers, students, and parents and other supporters have done for the school. He could make a mess of things if he isn’t very careful in his choices and policies made. He could have this great community turn on him if he isn’t the most professional principal possible. Just as every school there are better teachers and not so good ones. At Jay you can find some of the best and only a very short list of not so great teachers. Test scores and graduate success speakes volumes for the real value of the school. Not perfect but one of the best. So Mr. Marcilliat better be on his best game at all time because this community is watching and expects you to be the best for the students, teachers and supporters. If not your out-of-here. No favorites, go by the rules, and apply them to everyone, have an open mind and you may get to stay. I guess maybe 2 years tops. Hope they find a great assistant principal that fits the Jay school and community.

Mr. Marcilliat seems like a guy that cares about our school and students so maybe somethings will change for the good. And maybe weed out some of the corruption.
