Escambia Man Gets 25 Years For Attempted Murder, Robbery

June 7, 2011

An Escambia County man was sentenced to 25 years in state prison with a minimum mandatory of 20 years on attempted murder and robbery charges.

Sedecki Pierre Toler, 24, received the sentence from Judge Jan Shackelford after being convicted of attempted second degree murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm and carjacking with a firearm.

On June 26, 2010, Toler approached Michael Jerome Brown in his driveway, took him inside his house at gunpoint, and shot him in the head, according to State Attorney Bill Eddins. The bullet just grazed the back of Brown’s head. Toler then took Brown’s money and keys and fled the premises. DNA linked Toler to Brown’s vehicle and the scene of the crime.

Hopefully! Sediecki will learn a lesson. 20 years, this man has just thrown away his life. I see nothing wrong with saying a prayer. I pray that the next idiot will think twice.

we need to lobby for legal conceal carry and plain view cary for all eligible to do so with no permit. in Wyoming it is legal to cary in plain view with no permit. do you think there is a high crime rate there when you see folks carring guns in the open.
you get use to seeing everyone with a side arm and it makes a person think twice about trying to rob a person when there are 20 other people with a gun that will possibly take you out if you draw on them.
we need to demand our rights. simply bearing arms is not enough anymore, we need to freely be able to carry as well.

R U KIDDING ME!!! The madness never ends! So, because he didn’t actually kill the man (not that he didn’t try) he’ll get a free shot at getting out of prison one day. This is absolutely ludacris! This is why people need guns to protect themselves and you can bet in Molino…WE DO !! This kind of “punishment” is ridiculous! Maybe we need a new judge on the bench….from Molino!!

I thought 10-20-life meant if you fired a weapon during the act of commiting a crime and someone was injured or killed by that shot ,it was automatic life. Why did he recieve a 25 yr. sentence?
